Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) is a tool to quantify the potential risk to human health and to the ecosystem result of the presence of pollutants in the subsoil.

It is based on a specific modeling of existing environmental contaminants, transport mechanisms that can act on pollution, potential receptors and potential exposure pathways.

The QRA determines if the subsoil is contaminated or not, depending on risk result obtained. If it is classified as polluted subsoil, it also determine the specific soil target values (SSTL) or minimum remaining concentrations to get the risk as acceptable.
