Currently, the site hosts a football field with its respective facilities. In the early years after sealing, minor ground collapses and unpleasant odors from organic decomposition were reported. As a corrective measure, a passive gas extraction system and a monitoring and control plan for underground water and gas were implemented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Problem Statement:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Biogas (methane) emissions at the football field facilities\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High concentrations of biogas\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ground subsidence\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure risk for field users\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Control and Monitoring Methodology:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.
