Testing to ensure results

To verify that the remediation techniques proposed for the remediation of a specific problem are valid and viable, treatability and feasibility testing is required. These tests, carried out in a small-scale laboratory, seek to reproduce the existing conditions in the underground environment (soil matrix, contaminants, physicochemical conditions, soil/water geochemistry, etc.) and determine the limiting and/or favorable factors of the technique, as well as its effectiveness on specific contaminants and underground environment.

This prior knowledge of the treatability of a contaminant present in the environment allows for the validation, design, and sizing of a remediation system tailored to the particular case, with prior knowledge of potential limitations and constraints, as well as an estimate of economic costs and expected returns.

In this sense, with the aim of offering the best solutions to specific problems, GeoAmbient has a department specialized in performing a wide variety of types of treatability/feasibility tests, also collaborating with research centers on specific cases.
